A month ago, Trax Magazine was contact spokesperson of Qajoo to have media interview. Then here we go the details:

“Wood is an integral part of our daily life. We are sure that the wood is available for all people in this world, but the results of the products will vary depending on the value of its maker. We are proud when we as a crafters can produce the best work for people”, that’s the explanation from Qajoo’s spokesperson when describe about Qajoo philosophy behind its name.

Qajoo established from the idea of the importance of local developers dominate their market itself and expand as well known to the foreign market through products quality which equal with the international levels. “Many mobile application is currently dominated by outside developers such as from USA and Japan, while the Indonesian society is still has a role as a customer of existing products only”, she explained.
Not only mobile applications which haven’t go to worldwide yet, Qajoo also aware of the recognition lack of Indonesian culture, especially in the international level. So they have a mission to introduce this culture through the products which designed attractively, such as games and interactive books.

Qajoo has various target market. Capture the Box and Fahombo Games for examples, they targeted for teenagers and up. Fahombo itself is a game which inspired from Nias Island culture called Stone Jumping Nias. While Cak Durae and Run Princess Run games were adopted from fairytale story which targeted for teenagers and children.

Like others startup, this studio which mostly filled by youth is earning revenue from application purchased and advertisement. Their products are available in iOS (App Store) and Android (Samsung Apps & Google Play). Their games and interactive books are available for free and premium version.

As mentioned above, what differentiates Qajoo products compared to other competitors is their products have value about Indonesia. They claimed there are still few games and interactive books which covered about Indonesian culture.

But that does not mean they do not have competitors. Qajoo admit there are competitors who imitate the concept that they have made. However, these competitors become the reason for them to make better products. “Keep produces legendary products because our determination in this competition is out as the winner”, answered their spokesperson when being asked about their success secret. Currently Qajoo is preparing for the next CERI books and games. They plan to launch the next series for the next couple months.
